Significant targets of the Garrison Grafenwoehr
EMS Policy:
- Fully integrate sustainability into all business processes and minimizing resource use and preventing pollution to the maximum extent practicable
- Identify significant environmental aspects and to achieve continuous environmental improvement
- Meet Executive Order 13423 and moving the Garrison into full compliance with all applicable US and Host Nation environmental laws
- Increase environmental awareness
- Maintain the positive relationship with other Government agencies, host nation and local community

To successfully implement the EMS, the USAG
Grafenwoehr appointed a Cross Functional Team
(CFT) with members representing all functional areas or core
business areas of the installation. The CFT is chaired by the
EMS Management Representative (EMSMR) who is responsible for
managing and overseeing the EMS implementation.
