ARMY VOLUNTEER CORPS (AVC)
   

The AVC program embraces existing volunteer programs, unites all volunteers who support Soldiers and Families, and formalizes the Army’s commitment to volunteerism. Volunteers contribute a broad range of services that enhance and expand the capabilities of Army programs and services. Working as teams, volunteer staff provides real-life solutions for successful military living.

Why Volunteer?
Volunteers can build their resume, showing they have been doing something while living overseas, learned new skills, enhanced skills, mentored others, gained new work experience, and more. Volunteers are also recognized by their organization at the annual USAG Grafenwoehr Volunteer Recognition Ceremony.

OUR CLASSES
Volunteer Management Training. This class goes over “The six Important things Volunteer Managers Need to Know.” Topics covered are how to recruit volunteers, retain volunteers, record keeping, revitalize volunteers, recognize volunteers, and how to dismiss volunteers

Organizational Point Of Contact (OPOC) Training. Participants will learn how to navigate the myarmyonesource.com website, how the process works, how they will become an OPOC, how to obtain volunteer information, how to certify volunteer hours, how to approve volunteers that apply for positions, what the positions look like in the system, and how to complete a volunteer position description.
