Our Mission - provide effective sexual assault awareness training, respond to all incidents of sexual assault around the clock in a prompt and immediate manner, coordinate all necessary supporting services to assist victims of sexual assault, in support of the Soldiers, civilians, and family members assigned or training at the Grafenwoehr and Vilseck community.

Risk Factors - In Garrison Environment

  • Alcohol is a significant risk factor as the majority of sexual assault cases involve alcohol
  • The largest percentage of cases occurred in barracks, housing units, and temporary training barracks
  • Most rape victims knew the alleged perpetrator
  • Most barracks rooms were unsecured


Risk Factors - In Deployed Environment

  • Facilities are dispersed throughout forward operating bases
    Dark streets or walkways (shower points)
    Vulnerable time of usage (Phone centers)
  • Living conditions are sometimes co-ed
  • Alcohol and drugs may be available
  • Collateral misconduct may be a factor
  • Realistic high optempo
